Obliqua – Languages of the Contemporary

The first year of Obliqua – Languages of the Contemporary inaugurated in 2025 the two-year journey of Officine Fotografiche Roma in the Ostiense district (Municipality VIII). The most anticipated event was the major exhibition Persona by Paolo Pellegrin, one of the most internationally renowned Italian photographers: inaugurated on October 3, 2025, and curated by Annalisa D'Angelo, the exhibition explored portraiture and the relationship between image and power, on the occasion of the association's twenty-fifth anniversary.

Alongside the exhibitions, 2025 featured the first performances weaving dance and photography, portfolio reviews, and author evenings, laying the foundations for the five thematic axes that characterize the entire project. A start that confirmed Via Libetta as one of the most vibrant hubs of contemporary visual culture in Rome.
