Edition 2025 — O Santa Cruci

The 2025 edition of O Santa Cruci took place on Saturday, April 12, at 9:00 PM at the Calvary of Bisacquino, via Calvario 16. Directed by Maria Angela Sagona, the performance staged the Passion of Christ, from the night in the Garden of Olives to the crucifixion, accompanied by the Lamentanze, 18th-century dirges in the Bisacquino dialect.

O Santa Cruci 2025

On Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 9:00 PM, the Calvary of Bisacquino (via Calvario 16) provided the setting for the 2025 edition of O Santa Cruci. The direction of Maria Angela Sagona guided the local actors, who followed a dedicated training program, while costumes and sets were created by local artists.

The performance narrated the Passion of Christ from the night in the Garden of Olives to the crucifixion, with the Lamentanze, 18th-century dirges in the Bisacquino dialect traditionally sung during Good Friday rites. The event took place as part of the PNRR project "Bisacquino, village of cinema and the arts".
