Edition 2025 — Nuovi Mondi Festival

The 2025 edition of the Nuovi Mondi Festival took place in Manduria from 19 July to 27 August, featuring over a month of events dedicated to the theme of travel as a practice of crossing boundaries, discovery, and awareness. Seven main events of music, theatre, dance, and storytelling enlivened the city's iconic landmarks, from the Chiostro degli Agostiniani to the Fonte Pliniano, all with free admission.

Nuovi Mondi Festival 2025

The 2025 edition opened on Saturday, 19 July, in the Chiostro degli Agostiniani with war reporter Giuliana Sgrena, who presented her book in conversation with Fulvio Colucci, accompanied by the photographic exhibition "Autoritratto Umano" by Rossella De Gregorio. The programme then continued through the summer with the string concert The Harmonic Leggèria (30 July), the mythological theatre of Massimo Cimaglia (1 August), the baroque dance of Roberta Di Laura (18 August), and the medieval concert by the Ensemble Concetus (20 August).

The finale, between 22 and 27 August, featured site-specific contemporary dance by ALPHAZTL, stories of land and sea with Gianluca Caporaso, and a rewriting of the Prometheus myth in the form of itinerant theatre. Directed by Tiziana Magrì for the ContaminAzioni Association, the festival confirmed its widespread and free-access vocation, across historic cloisters, the Fonte Pliniano, and Piazza Scegnu.
