Nuova Consonanza Festival

The 62nd edition of the festival, hosted by the Municipality of Rome between November 9 and December 20, 2025, chose space as its guiding theme: understood as extension and co-presence, as directional movement of sound, as timbral spectrum, and as a place — physical or virtual — for the diffusion of listening.

A large section of the program was dedicated to research on sound spatialization, with electroacoustic and acousmatic concerts, theatrical performances, and multimedia installations in the industrial spaces of the Mattatoio La Pelanda. Alongside this line, the festival offered a series of tributes to composers decisive for the history of contemporary music. Each evening opened with the reading of poems on peace by members of the association.

Single tickets were 15 euros (full) and 10 euros (reduced), with some December evenings at 5 euros and subscriptions from 40 to 250 euros; talks, presentations, and exhibitions were free to attend.
