Edition 2025 — Nucatola Festival
In 2025, the Nucatola Festival once again enlivened January 6th in Vizzini, renewing the Epiphany appointment with the town's signature pastry. Between cooking shows and tastings, the nucàtola made of toasted almonds, cinnamon, and cocoa confirmed its role as the gastronomic symbol of the Iblean town, the birthplace of Giovanni Verga, in a festive and convivial atmosphere.
The 2025 edition of the Nucatola Festival took place on January 6, 2025, in the historic center of Vizzini (CT). As per tradition, the Epiphany day was dedicated to the nucàtola, the pastry of toasted almonds, cinnamon, and cocoa glaze that characterizes local confectionery. Cooking shows and tastings guided visitors and locals in discovering the traditional recipe, in a well-established event that enhances the bond between the village, its flavors, and the memory of Giovanni Verga.
