The 2025 edition

On November 4th, 2025, the celebrations for National Unity and Armed Forces Day were dedicated to the theme «Defence, the force that unites». The Roman ceremony began at 9:15 AM at the Altare della Patria, with the laying of the laurel wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, joined by the Minister of Defence, Guido Crosetto, and military leaders. This was followed by the review of the troops in Piazza Venezia.

The traditional flyover by the Frecce Tricolori did not take place, as a sign of respect for the death of a worker and to avoid interfering with safety operations at the Torre dei Conti near the Imperial Fora. The celebrations then continued in Ancona, the symbolic city for the edition, with the joint military ceremony at 11:30 AM in the presence of the Head of State. In the evening, the event «The force that unites» was held at the Auditorium della Conciliazione in Rome with the Joint Defence Band.
