Edition 2025 — Novalesa 726-2026

In the autumn of 2025, the Abbey of Novalesa and the Metropolitan City of Turin officially announced the celebrations for the 1300th anniversary of its founding. On October 30, 2025, the presentation of the "Novalesa 726-2026" program paved the way for the Jubilee year, receiving widespread coverage in the local Piedmontese press and marking the beginning of the Benedictine monastic community's spiritual and cultural preparations.

Towards the 13th Centenary

2025 was the year of preparation and announcement for the celebrations of the 1300th anniversary of the Abbey of Saints Peter and Andrew in Novalesa, in the municipality of Novalesa in the province of Turin. On October 30, 2025, the "Novalesa 726-2026" program was officially presented, the result of a collaboration between the Benedictine monastic community and the Metropolitan City of Turin, which owns the abbey. The initiative drew attention to the thousand-year history of one of the oldest monasteries in the Alps and its precious Chronicon Novaliciense, kept at the State Archives of Turin.
