Note al Calasole

The first edition of Note al Calasole, in 2025, brought to life a new summer open-air classical music festival in Cecina, set in the evocative pine forest of the Tombolo Sud Nature Reserve, near the beach, with access from the Viale Galliano gate. Concerts took place at sunset, with free admission open to all.

The program, spread over three weekends starting June 20, was curated by journalist and music critic Sandro Cappelletto together with Maestro Federico Rovini, director of the Pietro Mascagni Conservatory of Livorno. Highlights included a collaboration with the Mascagni Festival for an evening of verismo at dusk, which laid the foundation for the festival's growth in subsequent editions.
