Edition 2025 — Nóstos
Nóstos 2025: two chapters in the Sicani villages
The 2025 edition of Nóstos took place in two distinct moments, both with free admission and spread across Sant'Angelo Muxaro, Joppolo Giancaxio, and Santa Elisabetta, in the province of Agrigento.
First chapter (May 31 – June 2)
The first event, curated by Teatro alla Guilla and directed by Valerio Strati, combined storytelling, live music, and workshops. On June 2, in Sant'Angelo Muxaro, "Terme di famiglia", written and directed by Domenico Bravo, was performed: an ironic reinterpretation of the myth of King Cocalus and the death of Minos, immersed in thermal waters by the king's daughters.
Second chapter (September 26 – 28)
The second chapter featured three great classical tragedies directed by Gabriele Vacis with the Collettivo PoEM: on September 26 in Santa Elisabetta "Meditazione su Prometeo", on the 27th in Joppolo Giancaxio "Meditazione su Le Fenicie", and on September 28 in Sant'Angelo Muxaro "Meditazione su Sette a Tebe", a reflection on the fratricidal conflict between Eteocles and Polynices. The performances, at 6:00 PM, were preceded by community workshops (3:30 PM – 5:00 PM).
