Norbensis Festival — Folklore for the Peace of Peoples

The 30th anniversary of the Norbensis Festival

The 2025 edition marked an important milestone: thirty years since the first edition in 1995. For five consecutive evenings, concluding on Sunday, August 24, the historic center of Norma hosted delegations from the United States, Ecuador, East Timor, and Serbia, joined by Italian groups from Sicily, Abruzzo, Lazio, and Molise, and the Compagnia di Danza Popolare Norbensis.

As per tradition, there was no shortage of related events: popular games between nations, Peace Mass with the rites of the guest groups, international 5-a-side football tournament, ethnic market with cuisines from the participating countries, and the election of Miss and Mr Norbensis Festival. The closing ceremony on August 24 brought all guest nations together on stage for the final performance and the awarding of the Arch. Fabio Massimo Filippi Award, named after the founder of the event. The evenings were hosted by Tiziana Mammucari of Studio 93.
