Edition 2025 — Nivarata

In 2025, Nivarata once again brought Piazza Duomo in Acireale to life with three days dedicated to Sicilian granita. Tastings, showcooking by master gelato makers, contests, and workshops drew enthusiasts and families to the Baroque center of the Etna town, confirming the festival as one of the most anticipated food and wine events in Eastern Sicily.

The 2025 edition of Nivarata took place in Piazza Duomo in Acireale, re-proposing the proven formula of the international Sicilian granita festival: tastings of numerous granita variations, showcooking by master gelato makers, competitions, and meetings on the art of gelato.

Organized by Conpait under the direction of Peppe Leotta and Fulvio Massimino, the event highlighted the excellence of the Etna region and offered activities for families and workshops for children, confirming its international vocation and strong bond with Sicilian tradition.
