Nino Martoglio Award – City of Grotte

The 22nd edition of the Nino Martoglio Award – City of Grotte was held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, starting at 9:00 PM, in the evocative Piazza Umberto I of Grotte, in the province of Agrigento. The evening, conceived and directed by Aristotele Cuffaro, was hosted by Ivan Scinardo, director of the Experimental Center of Cinematography – Sicily branch, and Maria Lombardo, journalist in charge of the Entertainment pages of La Sicilia.

The awards for the 2025 edition went to four prominent names of the Sicilian scene: actor and director Paolo Licata ("Francesco Pillitteri" Special Award), folk singer Rita Botto (award for artistic and musical merit), actress Donatella Finocchiaro ("Gregorio Napoli" Special Award for cinematography), and actress Lucia Sardo ("Gregorio Napoli" Lifetime Achievement Award). The evening concluded with the screening of the film L'amore che ho by Paolo Licata, dedicated to the life of singer-songwriter Rosa Balistreri, with a soundtrack by Carmen Consoli.
