Edition 2025 — Nina Gigante

In 2025 too, Christmas Eve in Thiene was marked by the Nina Gigante in Piazza Chilesotti: all the Ninas from the districts gathered for the grand collective carol, while in the afternoon the Nina for young people was held. A centuries-old tradition preserved by Pro Loco Thiene and nominated for UNESCO heritage.

The 2025 edition renewed, on the evening of December 24th, the ancient rite of the Canto della Nina: in Piazza Chilesotti, all the Ninas from the districts of Thiene (Vicenza) united in the collective Nina Gigante, with the choral participation of the public.

The tradition, whose roots date back to the 14th century, continues to be preserved by Pro Loco Thiene along with the district committees. Meanwhile, the Municipality continues the process for the recognition of the carol as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
