Edition 2025 — Nights of Archaeology

The 2025 edition of the Night of the Hypogea took place on Saturday, August 30, 2025, with guided archaeological walks at 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM. Visitors discovered the hypogea of Vico San Martino, d'Ambra, and the Cerberus—with augmented reality dedicated to the myth of Cerberus—and the large Lagrasta complex, where the theatrical tour "Travelers in Hades" by Gianluigi Belsito was performed, enriched by live painting and tastings.

In the summer of 2025, Nights of Archaeology in Canosa di Puglia offered a rich calendar of evenings, culminating on August 30, 2025, with The Night of the Hypogea. The archaeological walks, departing at 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM, accompanied participants through the Daunian chamber tombs: the Vico San Martino Hypogeum (4th-3rd century BC), the d'Ambra Hypogeum (4th century BC), and the Cerberus Hypogeum (3rd century BC), where an augmented reality installation brought the fresco of the hellish dog back to life.

The route concluded in the Lagrasta I Hypogeum, the city's most important funerary complex, with the theatrical guided tour "Travelers in Hades" curated by Gianluigi Belsito and the Teatro del Viaggio, performed by Rita Marinelli. The evening was enriched by live painting performances and tastings of local specialties in partner restaurants. The event was organized by the Amici dell'Archeologia association with the patronage of the Municipality of Canosa di Puglia, the Fondazione Archeologica Canosina, Visit Canosa, the Italian Touring Club, and the Puglia Region.
