Edition 2025 — Madonna dei Miracoli (Night Procession)
On the night between Friday, August 29, and Saturday, August 30, 2025, Messina once again experienced the evocative Night Procession of the Madonna dei Miracoli. At 3:00 AM, the procession departed from the Cathedral Church, accompanying the Marian statue to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria dei Miracoli.
The route crossed the ancient heart of the city: from Piazza Duomo to Piazza La Corte, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, Via Porta Castello, Piazza Umberto I, Pendio San Lorenzo, and Via Sant'Andrea, up to Via Santa Maria dei Miracoli and Piazza San Pio X. Thousands of faithful illuminated the path with candles and torches, while the silence of the night was broken only by prayers and hymns, renewing a rite of devotion that has spanned the centuries.
