Night of Wishes

The 2025 edition of the Night of Wishes took place on Sunday, August 10 in Corigliano d'Otranto, in Salento, with free admission starting at 7:00 PM. The event, part of the Borgo Volante project promoted by the Municipality and supported by the Ministry of Culture, enlivened the Castello Volante and the historic center with a rich program.

The evening opened with guided tours of the castle and the photographic and ethno-anthropological exhibition Journeys in the Lands of Remorse – Images of Tarantism, dedicated to the research of Ernesto de Martino. In the castle moat, the Balletto del Sud presented the dance performance From Italy, with love, with choreography by Fredy Franzutti, followed by a harp concert by Eleonora Carbone. Among the courtyards and squares, there was no shortage of street theater with fire and juggling, dark-room readings for children, the astronomical observatory of the Salento Amateur Astronomers Group, and tastings of local wines and products in Piazza San Nicola. After midnight, the Quiet Zone with silent disco closed the night among the stars.

• 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM — Guided tours of the Castello Volante, discovering the history and secrets of the fortress
• At sunset — Opening of the exhibition "Journeys in the Lands of Remorse – Images of Tarantism"
• From 9:00 PM — Toasts and gastronomic offerings on the Nuvole terraces, with the astronomical observatory of the Salento Amateur Astronomers Group
• 9:30 PM — Dance performance "From Italy, with love" by the Balletto del Sud (choreography by Fredy Franzutti) in the castle moat
• Following — Harp concert by Eleonora Carbone
• In the evening — Street theater with fire, juggling, and acrobatics; dark-room readings for children in the courtyards (Magma and Biumbò); tastings of local wines and products in Piazza San Nicola with sound design by Max Nocco
• After midnight — Quiet Zone, to dance under the stars with silent disco headphones
