Edition 2025 — Night of the Cucibocca

In January 2025, the Notte dei Cucibocca animated Montescaglioso with three days of exhibitions, workshops, excursions, and concerts, culminating on the evening of January 5th with the dressing and ritual parade of the Cucibocca through the historic center, amidst chains, lanterns, and white beards.

The 2025 edition of the Notte dei Cucibocca confirmed the strength of one of Southern Italy's most identity-rich rituals. In the days around Epiphany, the village of Montescaglioso hosted exhibitions, workshops for children, excursions in the Murgia Park, and cultural events, culminating in the central ritual on the evening of January 5th: the dressing of the Cucibocca and their evocative parade through the alleys of the historic center, accompanied by the sound of chains and the light of lanterns, amidst the moved participation of the community and numerous visitors.
