Night of the Candles 2025: a sea of light in the heart of summer

On Sunday, August 17, 2025, the historic center of Lenola, in the province of Latina, hosted a new edition of the Night of the Candles. At 9:00 PM sharp, a pyrotechnic signal announced the most awaited moment: the public lights went out and, in unison, the candles lit one by one in the previous hours by volunteers, associations, and families of the village were ignited.

About thirty thousand candles redesigned the outlines of alleys, courtyards, stairways, and squares over an area of twenty thousand square meters, transforming the village into an open-air stage. From 9:30 PM, the route was animated by shows, concerts, street performers, entertainment, and tastings, with food areas and fixed refreshment points dedicated to local products.

Among the novelties of the 2025 edition, the presence of a Poste Italiane desk was reported, where it was possible to purchase an exclusive postcard and receive the official philatelic cancellation dedicated to the event. To facilitate the influx, a shuttle service was active, also available by reservation, which connected the parking areas to the illuminated heart of the village. The event, with free admission, was promoted by the Associazione Pro Loco Lenola APS with the patronage of the Municipality of Lenola.
