Edition 2025 — Night of Fortresses

In 2025, the Night of Fortresses took place in the Bassa Romagna area as part of the European project FORTIC – Interreg Italy-Croatia, with free events dedicated to fortified heritage. Cotignola and the Torre d'Acuto were not yet among the stops: the Municipality joined the international initiative for the first time in 2026.

The 2025 edition of the Night of Fortresses was part of the international calendar of Night of Fortresses, an initiative supported by the European project FORTIC – Interreg Italy-Croatia and dedicated to the enhancement of fortresses, towers, and walled cities. In the Ravenna area, the event offered free evenings with visits and historical insights into defensive heritage.

Cotignola, in the Province of Ravenna, was not yet among the participating locations: the Torre d'Acuto joined the circuit only with the 2026 edition, marking the Municipality's first participation in the European initiative.
