New Year's Eve Torchlight Procession and Old Year Bonfire

The New Year's Eve Torchlight Procession and Old Year Bonfire welcomed the arrival of 2026 on the evening of December 31, 2025, in Tonadico, in the municipality of Primiero San Martino di Castrozza, Trentino. The meeting point was Piazza Canopi, with a departure on foot at 8:30 PM for a night walk of about an hour towards the Prati Tais, at the foot of the Pale di San Martino.

Participants, led by the Tonadighi Strighi group, followed the path with lit torches until the lighting of the traditional Old Year Bonfire, a symbolic burning of the past year and a wish for the new one. The evening confirmed itself as one of the most evocative New Year's events in the Primiero valley, in an atmosphere of intimate celebration among the Dolomite mountains.
