New Year's Eve 2026 in Locorotondo: the square and the balcony

The December 31, 2025 edition of New Year's Eve in the Square in Locorotondo combined the official Municipality celebration in Piazza Aldo Moro with an episode that made waves across Apulian and national media. Singer-songwriter Renzo Rubino, one of the most beloved artists born in Locorotondo, announced a last-minute free surprise concert from the balcony of his home on Via Nardelli, overlooking the village's festive lights.

At 11:15 PM, Rubino performed an acoustic set titled "Renzo Rubino and the others", accompanied by keyboards, violin, and cello: a simple and intimate gesture, dedicated to his community, to welcome the new year away from the loud volumes. The "counter-concert" took place in parallel with the institutional party in Piazza Aldo Moro, where the Municipality had set up, as every year, a program of live music and entertainment with free admission and a midnight toast under the lights.

The image of the singer-songwriter performing from his home balcony, amidst the crowd strolling under the lights of the historic center, became the symbol of a New Year's Eve defined by sharing and the bond between the artist and his town, in the heart of the Itria Valley.
