New Year's Concert – Orchestra a Plettro Città di Taormina

The 2025 edition of the New Year's Concert by the Orchestra a Plettro Città di Taormina took place in early January at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Taormina, Sicily. Conducted by Maestro Antonino Pellitteri and presented by Dr. Cesare Restuccia, the concert was dedicated to the memory of Chico Scimone, on the twentieth anniversary of the passing of the orchestra's historic director and pianist. Soloists included soprano Manuela Cuccuccio, along with musicians Emanuele Buzi on mandolin and Elisabetta Monaco on liuto cantabile. The evening, which featured free admission, was a great success, met with repeated applause and a final standing ovation.
