Edition 2025 — NET Village Rome

The 2025 edition of NET Village took place on September 26 and 27 at the Città dell'Altra Economia in Rome, in the Testaccio district. Two evenings, from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with over 60 stands dedicated to research and a rich program of workshops, shows, and meetings with scientists, in the year that celebrated the figure of Maria Skłodowska Curie, a European pioneer of science.

NET Village 2025

In 2025, NET Village brought the European Researchers' Night to the Città dell'Altra Economia in Rome on September 26 and 27, from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The large square of Testaccio was filled with over 60 stands animated by the institutions of the NET - scieNcE Together project: CNR, ENEA, INAF, INFN, INGV, ISPRA, CINECA, and the universities of Rome and Lazio.

Among the most appreciated proposals: the escape room dedicated to the "Great Garbage Patch" on plastic pollution, DNA extraction workshops, the theatrical performance "Inside Marie" on the life of Marie Curie, 15-minute science speed-date sessions, the Stand-Up Research contest, and documentary screenings. A journey designed to make the public protagonists rather than mere spectators, with the figure of Maria Skłodowska Curie serving as the common thread of the edition.

Programme

September 26-27, 2025, 6:30 PM-11:00 PM. Over 60 stands, interactive workshops (DNA extraction, physics experiments), "Great Garbage Patch" escape room, "Inside Marie" theatrical performance, science speed-dates, Stand-Up Research contest, and documentary screenings.
