Nerola Fried Pizza Festival

The 32nd edition

On Saturday, August 9, 2025, Nerola hosted the thirty-second edition of its most iconic festival, confirming it as one of the most popular summer food events in the Roman Sabina. The historic center of the village, with Piazza San Sebastiano as its hub, came alive from late afternoon until night.

The menu and the evening

From 7:30 PM, the volunteers of the Pro Loco Nerola fired up the fryers to serve hand-kneaded fried pizzas cooked in extra virgin olive oil produced on the village hills, accompanied by meat skewers, French fries, Nutella crêpes, and draft beer. From 9:00 PM, the party continued with live music, karaoke, and group dancing.

Part of the Nerola Ferragosto

The event opened the 2025 Nerola Ferragosto, the calendar of festivities from August 9 to 16 in honor of Santa Maria Assunta and San Rocco, which in the following evenings featured children's shows, rock nights, dialect theater, a tribute to Raffaella Carrà, and the comedy of Uccio De Santis. Admission to the festival was free.
