Nebrodi Cinema Doc International Festival

The 2025 Edition

From September 29 to October 5, 2025, Naso hosted the second edition of the Nebrodi Cinema Doc International Festival, with over 316 works submitted from more than 50 nations. Screenings took place at the Teatro Alfieri, with morning sessions for students and afternoon and evening screenings open to the public, while the Convento dei Frati Minori Osservanti hosted thematic debates.

Guests of honor included directors Marco Risi and Daniele Ciprì, who spoke on social cinema and cinematography, respectively. The awards ceremony, hosted by journalist Antonio Puglisi, recognized winners in numerous categories, from narrative short films to documentaries, as well as special prizes dedicated to schools, the local territory, and independent cinema. The program was rounded out by excursions to the Megaliths of Argimusco, Montalbano Elicona, and Tindari.
