Edition 2025 — Nations Award

The 19th edition of the Nations Award celebrated great European cinema in Taormina with a gala evening at the Ancient Theatre. Lifetime achievement awards were presented to Luc Besson, Terry Gilliam, and Emir Kusturica, alongside numerous guests from Italian and international cinema. The evening was hosted by actress Madalina Ghenea, in an edition focused on the theme of sustainability.

Nations Award 2025: The 19th Edition

The 2025 edition of the Nations Award brought some of the greatest names in European cinema to Taormina, with a gala evening at the Ancient Theatre. Lifetime achievement awards were presented to directors Luc Besson, Terry Gilliam, and Emir Kusturica.

Other awarded guests included Enrico Vanzina, Elisabetta Pellini, Hande Soral, Celeste Dalla Porta, Uccio De Santis, and Andrea De Mozzi, with Madalina Ghenea serving as the event's godmother. The ceremony was hosted by Barbara Tabita and Andrea Morandi, while the award sculptures were crafted by master goldsmith Michele Affidato.

The central theme was sustainability, featuring the "Thinking Green" salon and the participation of architect Massimo Pica Ciamarra, confirming the environmental commitment that characterizes the Sicilian event.
