Edition 2025 — Gallarate Award «Arte Viva»

The National Visual Arts Award City of Gallarate, founded in 1950, has continued over time to enrich the collections of the MA*GA Museum, establishing itself as one of Italy's oldest and most prestigious art recognitions prior to the 28th edition «Arte Viva» in 2026.

The National Visual Arts Award City of Gallarate was established in 1950 and has since marked the artistic life of the city of Gallarate (VA), enriching the collections of the MA*GA Museum with the awarded works edition after edition. Its history places it among Italy's longest-running art awards, offering a privileged vantage point on the trends of Italian contemporary art. The 28th edition, «Arte Viva», presented in 2026, continues this long tradition by shifting the focus from the object-artwork to performative and participatory practice.
