National Castle Days - Castle of Cefalà Diana

The 2025 edition of the National Castle Days, the 26th, was held on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 May at more than forty Italian sites, including the islands. Promoted by the Istituto Italiano dei Castelli under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, it offered free guided tours, scientific insights and cultural treks.

In Sicily the programme showcased the fortresses of the hinterland and of western Sicily, along a path that over the years has involved numerous castles of the Metropolitan City of Palermo. The Castle of Cefalà Diana, with the nearby Arab-Norman Baths, remains among the most significant assets of the Palermo area, a natural candidate for the editions devoted to the island's medieval heritage.
