Christmas Village, markets, lights, and ice skating rink in the historic center
Natale a Treviso is the extensive program of events that the Municipality of Treviso, in collaboration with trade associations and local organizations, organizes every year from late November until Epiphany. For over a month, the historic center of the capital of the Marca trevigiana fills with artistic lights, decorations, markets, shows, and entertainment for all ages.
The heart of the program is the Christmas Village in Piazza Rinaldi, populated by elves, with stalls featuring crafts and gastronomy, music, and visits from Santa Claus. In Piazza Borsa, the Treviso On Ice skating rink returns every year, while in Piazza dei Signori, the large Christmas tree and the carousel for children are lit up. The Christmas tourist train also circulates through the streets of the center.
The calendar includes over a hundred free events distributed between the center and the neighborhoods: themed markets such as RICREAZIONE, Mamm'Art, Arti & Bio, the antique market in Borgo Cavour, and the Epiphany fair. Artistic illuminations light up the alleys, squares, and arcades, while concerts, choirs, children's shows, and cultural initiatives animate the city until January.
In recent years, Natale a Treviso has established itself as one of the most popular Christmas events in the Veneto region, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors and generating significant economic benefits for the city's commerce and hospitality sector.
For 2026, the Municipality of Treviso is re-proposing the usual Christmas program, which in recent years has run from late November until January 6th. The established attractions are expected: the Christmas Village in Piazza Rinaldi, the Treviso On Ice rink in Piazza Borsa, the carousel and the lighting of the tree in Piazza dei Signori, the tourist train, and the themed markets spread throughout the historic center.
The complete calendar, with definitive dates and times, will be published by the Municipality and organizing associations in the weeks leading up to the inauguration.
Detailed 2026 program coming soon. Based on recent editions, the following are expected: inauguration of the Christmas Village in Piazza Rinaldi with music and the arrival of Santa Claus, lighting of the tree in Piazza dei Signori, opening of the Treviso On Ice rink in Piazza Borsa, carousel for children, tourist train, themed markets (RICREAZIONE, Mamm'Art, Arti & Bio, antiques market in Borgo Cavour, Epiphany fair), and over a hundred free events including concerts, choirs, and entertainment. Precise dates will be announced by the Municipality of Treviso.
Treviso's historic center is a short walk from Treviso Centrale train station, well-connected to Venice, Padua, and Vicenza. Those arriving by car can leave their vehicles in the parking lots around the city walls and enter the pedestrian zone on foot.
Events take place from late November until January 6th. The Christmas Village and markets have different opening hours on weekdays and holidays; the Treviso On Ice rink is generally open until mid-January.
Most of the initiatives are free; the skating rink requires an entrance ticket, with optional skate rental.
