Edition 2025 — Mythica

In December 2025, Mythica enlivened the Ex Cartiera Latina and the Basilica of San Sebastiano with a month of performances, presentations, and workshops dedicated to the myth of the feminine. The festival, curated by Raccontamiunastoria and promoted by Roma Capitale, gathered Italian and international narrators around deities, heroines, and great stories of oral tradition, all with free admission upon reservation.

Mythica 2025: a month of storytelling between goddesses and heroines

The 2025 edition of Mythica took place throughout the month of December in the spaces of the Ex Cartiera Latina, on the Appian Way, with events also held at the Basilica of San Sebastiano fuori le mura. The program wove together storytelling performances, editorial presentations, workshops, and story-walks, bringing voices from various narrative traditions to Rome.

Among the highlights were presentations featuring narrative performances dedicated to the female figures of myth, the artistic residency surrounding The Song of Thetis, the autobiographical show The Gods Are All Here by Phil Okwedi, the story-walk If These Stones Could Speak along the park, and the concert-salon The Tales of the Twelve Nights with an international cast. There were also advanced workshops and meetings on the relationship between storytelling and tourism. All initiatives were free to attend until capacity was reached.
