Edition 2025 — Mutina Boica
The 16th edition of Mutina Boica was held from September 11 to 14, 2025, at Parco Ferrari in Modena, with the title "Dido's Prophecy": a journey into the Second Punic War told through the female figures of antiquity, starting with Queen Dido, the mythical founder of Carthage.
Four days with over 120 events, 400 reenactors from all over Italy, more than 40 artisan exhibitors, over 15 food stalls, and 5 concerts. Among the main events: the theatrical storytelling "The Fall" by Teatro Storico d'Azione, the performance of "Lysistrata" based on Aristophanes with over 50 performers, the show "Prophecies and Judgments" with gladiatorial games by Ars Dimicandi, and the grand reenactment of the Battle of Zama in 202 BC. Admission was free, except for initiatives otherwise indicated.

Thursday, September 11
- 8:00 PM — "The Fall", theatrical storytelling by Teatro Storico d'Azione, on the causes of the fall of the Roman Empire
Friday, September 12
- 7:00 PM — Meeting with restorer Renaud Bernadet on the documentary "Investigation into the Tomb of the Last Prince of Cella" (Arte TV)
- 9:00 PM — "Lysistrata" by Aristophanes, production Sted Teatro ed Evoè, directed by Marco Marzaioli, with over 50 actresses and actors
Saturday, September 13
- 4:30 PM — Conference at the Civic Museum on mercenaries and ancient coinage
- 9:00 PM — "Prophecies and Judgments", historical reenactment show on the wars between Rome and Carthage with gladiatorial games by Ars Dimicandi
Sunday, September 14
- 6:30 PM — Reenactment of the Battle of Zama in 202 BC, the decisive clash between Rome and Hannibal
Throughout the days: historical encampments, artisan market, food stalls, educational workshops, and activities for children.
