Musikfest Pfunders

The Musikfest Pfunders is not held every year: the Musikkapelle Pfunders organizes it on a multi-year basis, typically every two years. In 2025, the festival at the Festplatz in Fundres was not held: the most recent edition was in July 2024, and the band has since scheduled the return of the Musikfest for the summer of 2026 (July 18-19).

Even in years when the large Musikfest does not take place, the Musikkapelle Pfunders continues to be the musical heart of the village: concerts, accompaniment for processions and religious holidays in Fundres, and participation in band gatherings and festivals in neighboring towns of the Puster Valley and the Fundres Valley. The band, with its Jugendkapelle, Böhmische groups, and Tanzlmusik, keeps the tradition of South Tyrolean brass music alive all summer long in this corner of the mountains in the municipality of Vandoies/Vintl, in the province of Bolzano.
