The FORM's symphonic season in Fermo

MusicAttraverso is the title of the symphonic season of the FORM - Marche Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the most important musical institutions in central Italy and the reference orchestra for the Marche Opera Network. Every year, the festival features almost eighty concerts between January and May in the main theaters of the Marche region, and among the key locations is Fermo, with its events at the magnificent Teatro dell'Aquila, located on Via Giuseppe Mazzini, in the heart of the historic center of the capital of the Province of Fermo.

An internationally-focused program

Under the artistic direction of Francesco Di Rosa, principal oboist of the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the season offers a journey through eras and styles: from the great classical and romantic symphonism to sacred works, up to encounters between classical music and contemporary languages. In Fermo, acclaimed conductors and young talents take turns on the podium, accompanied by soloists and artists of national and international renown.

The Teatro dell'Aquila

An eighteenth-century gem, one of the largest and most prestigious in the Marche, the Teatro dell'Aquila offers an ideal acoustic and architectural setting for symphonic listening. Every season, its hall welcomes the Fermo audience and the many enthusiasts who travel to the city for FORM's concerts, in a program that combines the tradition of the great repertoire with the desire to engage a broad and new audience.

Between New Year's, Mozart, and Verdi

The Fermo events range from the famous New Year's Concert, now a tradition on the first day of the year, to evenings dedicated to symphonic masterpieces and great sacred works such as Giuseppe Verdi's Messa da Requiem. There are also productions that introduce classical music to a younger audience, such as projects featuring artists who can move between classical and electronic music.
