Musical Vespers of the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music

In the 2024-2025 academic year, the Musical Vespers of the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music confirmed their presence at the Abbey Church of Sant'Anselmo all'Aventino, in the Ripa district of Rome (Lazio). As per tradition, the celebrations were animated by students and professors from the departments of singing, choral conducting, early music, composition, organ, and improvisation.

The cycle unfolded throughout the academic year, with events in the winter and spring months and an autumn resumption coinciding with the start of the new year and celebrations for Saint Cecilia. The Vespers, free and open to all, offered the Roman public the opportunity to hear Gregorian chant, polyphony, and organ music live in one of the most beloved churches on the Aventine.
