Musica Praecentio

The 2025 edition of Musica Praecentio confirmed the festival's established format: a series of free concerts marked by the major solemnities of the calendar, from January 1st to the Christmas period, in the church of San Giovanni Battista (San Filippo) in Jesi. Each event combined sacred music and poetry, alternating pieces from the European organ repertoire, harmonized Gregorian chants, and poetic readings in harmony with the liturgical theme. As tradition dictates, the historic Carlo Vegezzi-Bossi organ from 1887 was the protagonist, with artistic direction by Maestro Mariella Martelli. The initiative, promoted by the Rosasolis Association with the support of the Municipality of Jesi, renewed its role as a reference point for the musical life of the city and the Province of Ancona.
