The Music Festival is the Italian version of the international event that every June 21st, on the summer solstice, fills the squares of cities large and small with music. In Pioltello, a municipality in the metropolitan area east of Milan in the Metropolitan City of Milan, the festival is celebrated thanks to the Civic Music Institute "G. Puccini" and the Quattrocentoquaranta Association, in collaboration with the Municipality.
The Festa della Musica Italia is coordinated nationally: each year it proposes a common theme and gathers hundreds of events spread throughout the territory, all free and focused on sharing. The Pioltello event fits into this large mosaic with an evening concert open to everyone.
A free event for the city
The Pioltello edition is artistically curated by the city's music institute, an entity that has been animating the cultural life of the Municipality for years. The free concert features live swing and jazz sounds in a festive atmosphere that concludes the solstice day. A simple and popular occasion to experience live music in public spaces, in the original spirit of the event.
