Music Festival at Largo Quaroni (Pisana district)

The day opened at 4:00 PM with the poetry contest, which awarded the texts of local school students on the themes of peace and solidarity. At 5:00 PM, Journey into the Spirit of Music took the stage, the concert by the Scuola Popolare di Musica Donna Olimpia, which was celebrating its fiftieth anniversary in 2025: Bach, Mozart, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Rossini reinterpreted with marimbas, ethnic percussion, piano, and everyday objects like tin cans, hands, and feet. At 6:00 PM, the square lit up with Africa Djembe and the rhythms of West African percussion.

The event was part of GLOCAL – Urban Edition, a project conceived and directed by Gino Auriuso and curated by the Artenova Cultural Association, promoted by Rome Capital – Department of Culture, winner of the Artes et Iubilaeum 2025 public notice and funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU as part of the PNRR, in collaboration with SIAE. Admission was free for all events.
