Edition 2025 — Gattorna Mushroom Festival

On October 11-12, 2025, Gattorna (Moconesi) hosted the 39th Mushroom Exhibition and Ballotta Festival. An autumn weekend with free distribution of mushrooms and ballotte, porcini polenta, cheese focaccia, fried mushrooms, and dance orchestras in Val Fontanabuona.

The 2025 edition, the 39th, took place on October 11th and 12th in Gattorna, confirming the success of one of the most beloved autumn festivals in Val Fontanabuona. The stalls of the Gattorna Bassa Neighborhood Celebration Committee offered polenta with mushroom sauce, cheese focaccia, fried mushrooms, and sweet chestnut fritters.

As tradition dictates, there was also the free distribution of mushrooms and ballotte, while the evenings were enlivened by dance orchestras. The festival once again proved to be an unmissable event for lovers of the forest flavors of the Genoese hinterland.
