Edition 2025 — Festival of Friendship Among Peoples
The 2025 edition, the eighth Festa dell'Amicizia and seventeenth Mundialito, was held on June 14 and 15 in Villa Verucchio. On Saturday, the five-a-side football tournament at the Ponte Verucchio sports field brought together 10 teams representing 13 countries, with the usual 'sport for peace' spirit and prizes for the top finishers alongside the Fair Play Award; a new feature this year, elementary school children played in dedicated mini-fields and received a participation cap.
On Sunday, in Piazza Europa, the festival featured tastings of traditional dishes, ethnic music and dances, and a grand collective performance, the 'blanket of the world,' with over 40 participants representing 24 nations, concluding with an anthem to peace.
