Muletto and Countryside Festival

The first edition of the revival of the Countryside and Muletto Festival in Barga was held on Sunday, July 20, 2025. The day began at 9:00 AM with the gathering at the Fosso, followed at 9:30 AM by the blessing of mules, horses, and neighborhoods, and at 10:00 AM by the start of the procession. The cedar gymkhana took place in Piazza Pascoli, while in the afternoon, the soapbox cart race along Viale Puccini and the neighborhood games at the stadium were held, with the grand finale of the muletto race. The general classification rewarded Real Piangrande, ahead of the other neighborhoods. A community festival that was also charitable: the stadium refreshment stand raised funds for the local Misericordia.
