.MOV 2025, the third edition
In 2025, the festival chose the end of summer: from September 12 to 24, the modern amphitheatre of Villa Lais, along with the library's Blue Room and the Biblioteca Collina della Pace, hosted the third edition of the project directed by Roberta Nicolai. The heart of the programming, from September 17 to 20, consisted of thirty-six screendance short films from twenty-four countries: works that challenge stereotypes, explore collective memory, and build new relationships between corporeality and cultural, architectural, and social contexts.
The edition inaugurated .MOV WEB, two days of online screenings — the first dedicated to Italian artists produced or hosted by the festival in previous years, the second to the announcement of the .MOV 2025 Audience Award — and offered .MOV KIDS, a film club with a storyboard workshop for children. The project then extended beyond the Municipality of Rome with two events in Tuscania, at the Supercinema and Spazio Fani, on October 3 and 31. All activities were free, with the support of Roma Capitale and the Ecoactions-Legambiente environmental certification.
