Mountainstory Bergfilmfestival

The first edition of the Mountainstory Bergfilmfestival was held on Friday, August 8, 2025, in the Glorenza festival area, bringing open-air cinema to the medieval walls of the Upper Val Venosta village for the first time. The evening was hosted by mountaineer Simon Messner and featured a selection of mountain films, documentaries, and personal tales dedicated to the Alpine world.

The debut featured several local directors and authors, including Philipp Egger, Michael Tscholl, and Clara Schönthaler, with works focusing on high-altitude landscapes and adventures. Alongside the screenings, the event hosted a photo exhibition and local exhibitors, with catering provided by the associations of the Laubenkomitee of Glorenza. The event took place in collaboration with the Nacht der Kultur, achieving a positive public response and laying the foundations for an annual appointment.
