Edition 2025 — Mount Vesuvius Race
The Mount Vesuvius Race 2025 was held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, in the Ercolano area, Campania, confirming the formula that combines running, landscape, and the promotion of the Vesuvian territory.
The event, promoted by the Allied Joint Force Command Naples in collaboration with the Municipality of Ercolano, saw the participation of approximately 350 athletes, competing over three distances (approximately 12 km, 5 km, and 2 km) with a common finish at the Quota 1000 square, inside the Vesuvius National Park.
To ensure safety, the access road to Mount Vesuvius along Via Contrada Osservatorio was temporarily closed to traffic from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM. The low-impact event reaffirmed the bond between the NATO base and the local community, celebrating the natural and archaeological beauty of the Vesuvian territory.
