Edition 2025 — Mostarda and Prickly Pear Festival

The 33rd edition of the Mostarda and Prickly Pear Festival took place in Militello in Val di Catania over the two weekends of October 3-4-5 and 10-11-12, 2025. The streets of the Baroque village were filled with tastings of warm mostarda and prickly pears, Sicilian cart parades, folk groups, exhibitions, and evening concerts, with free admission.

The 33rd edition of the Mostarda and Prickly Pear Festival was held in Militello in Val di Catania over the weekends of October 3-4-5 and 10-11-12, 2025. The event celebrated prickly pear mostarda served warm in terracotta molds and local products, with stalls from local producers, artisan markets, and traditional sweets.

The program included parades of Sicilian carts and marching bands through the main streets, the performance of the "Meravigghie di Sicilia" group, and exhibitions set up in the former Benedictine Monastery such as the "Collettiva d'Arte" and "Diario di Borgo". The evenings featured musical and cabaret performances with Chiara Intile, Viviana Pirrello, Agata Urso, the Malarazza, and comedians Loredana Scalia and Massimo Spata, culminating in the highly anticipated concert by Silvia Salemi. Admission was free.
