Morlupo City of Oil

The first edition

The inaugural edition of Morlupo City of Oil was held in the spring of 2025, promoted by the Municipality of Morlupo as part of its efforts to enhance the olive-growing vocation of the territory, north of the province of Rome, in Lazio.

The format developed for the occasion — a single day at the Convento di Santa Maria Seconda, with tastings of extra virgin olive oil, display and sale of typical local products, and activities open to all ages — was so well received that the administration decided to repeat and expand it the following year, with the second edition on April 12, 2026.

The event is part of the journey that links Morlupo to the culture of the olive tree and the network of 'Città dell'Olio', with the aim of introducing the public to oils produced by the small mills of the Roman countryside and creating an opportunity for producers, experts, and citizens to meet.
