Edition 2025 — Vergari Prize

The first edition of the Morbello Vergari Prize was held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, starting at 3:00 PM in Piazza IV Novembre in Santa Caterina di Roccalbegna. Promoted by the Municipality and organized by the Davide Lazzaretti Community Cooperative, the event involved students from the A. Lorenzetti secondary school in a poetry and 'caviardage' competition, in a day of Maremma song and poetry.

On Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 3:00 PM, the first edition of the Morbello Vergari Prize animated Piazza IV Novembre in Santa Caterina di Roccalbegna. Promoted by the Municipality and organized by the Davide Lazzaretti Community Cooperative, the prize featured students from the A. Lorenzetti secondary school in Roccalbegna, who participated in a competition of poems and compositions using the 'caviardage' technique.

The day, dedicated to the rediscovery of one of the most significant poets of the Maremma, combined good music, folk songs, and poetry, in the spirit of the Amiata tradition that Morbello Vergari had been able to preserve and pass on.
