Monticelli Festival - Codfish Festival

The 2025 edition represented the XLIV Festa di Monticelli and the XXVIII Sagra del Baccalà (Codfish Festival), confirming the success of a much-loved event by the neighborhood and the entire city of Ascoli Piceno. The Codfish Festival kicked off on Thursday, May 29th, with great cod-based classics alongside olive all'ascolana, arrosticini, crispelle, sausage sandwiches, and wine. Among the most followed events were the XXXVI Maratonina di Monticelli (Monticelli Half Marathon), the 'Pazza palla gialla' mini-volleyball tournament with over a hundred athletes, the neighborhood games with more than 170 participants of all ages, and numerous musical evenings, including the inaugural one dedicated to Latin American and Caribbean music with Spirito Latino.
