The 2025 edition moved to September
In 2025, the pilgrimage to Montevergine organized by Pro Loco Paolisi did not take place on the summer dates initially announced. The association announced a postponement due to a weather alert on part of the route, rescheduling the walk for Saturday, September 13, and Sunday, September 14, 2025.
The shift brought the event closer to the period when, by tradition, many communities in Campania climb to the Partenio sanctuary: the month of September, around the feast of the Madonna of Montevergine. The group from Paolisi, a town in the Caudina Valley in the province of Benevento, thus reached the abbey of Mamma Schiavona on foot, confirming the choice to prioritize participant safety over the announced calendar.
