Montemurlo Historical Pageant - Re-enactment of the 1537 Battle

The 34th edition of the Montemurlo Historical Pageant was held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, enlivening the village of Oste with an entire day dedicated to the Renaissance. In the morning, a historical walk led participants to the sites of the 1537 battle, starting from Piazza Bini in Bagnolo. From 10:30, Piazza Amendola hosted historical encampments, with the Giovanni dalle Bande Nere Company, demonstrations of ancient crafts, and falconers.

In the afternoon, the Palio of the games of yesteryear saw the districts compete, while from the evening, the taverns offered traditional Tuscan dishes. At 20:30, the grand 16th-century costumed parade traveled through the streets of the town. The event concluded on Friday, August 1, with the celebration of the Battle of Montemurlo and historical storytelling in Piazza della Repubblica.
