Montefortino Festival 2025: the twentieth edition
The 2025 edition marked an important milestone for the Montefortino Festival: the twentieth edition. As per tradition, during the first ten days of September, the pedestrian historic center of Artena re-proposed its evening food and wine tour, with the opening of ancient cellars carved into the rock and the tasting of Castelli Romani and Cesanese wines paired with local products and traditional dishes.
Visitors were offered a glass for tastings and a brochure with a map of the itinerary, to cross the alleys and stairways of the village amidst traditional flavors. The squares—from Piazza Belvedere to the Santa Croce staircase—hosted concerts of folk, jazz, and singer-songwriter music, confirming the festival as one of the most beloved late-summer events in Lazio.
